The lid assembly contains a central, weighted swinging flap that pivots inwards when pushed, allowing waste to be dropped in without touching the bin body. The flap then swings back to a closed position to contain odors and hide waste. The entire top/lid section is typically removable for liner replacement and emptying.
A single plastic handle/grip is visible near the rim, making it easy to carry or lift the bin.
